The Food from Thought Teaching Farm is located in the Republic of Panamá in the Sierra Majé mountain range and covers an area of 12 acres. There are two growing seasons each year in which villagers participate in crop trials and learn sustainable farming techniques. They also share in the harvest. One season begins in May and the other in December. In 2006 a second model farm project was inaugurated in Tortí. In 2008 two new farm projects will be inaugurated in the villages of Tortuga and Playon. |
